For Rangers Ultra

In the heartlands of long-distance running and the home of rhinos, we're taking on an ultra-marathon to honour rangers and the rhinos they protect.

Together with For Rangers and Beyond the Ultimate the ForRangers Ultra was born in 2018, when more than 40 runners ran across Kenya to support the rangers that dedicate their lives to rhino conservation.

The 220 km route passes through some of the incredible conservancies we support: Lewa, Borana, Ol Jogi and Ol Pejeta Conservancy, runners had the adventure of a lifetime. Along the route, our 2018 runners saw not just rhinos, but also elephants, buffalo, zebra, impala and giraffe – and some even heard lions roaring while they *tried* to sleep in their tents!

For their own protection, the ultra-runners were alongside armed rangers, who looked over them along the whole route and also gave them the opportunity to meet and learn about the people who risk their lives to protect the world’s most endangered animals.

We can’t wait to do it all over again this year. Keep your eyes on our website and social pages to follow the runners in September 2019!
