Together with For Rangers and Beyond the Ultimate the ForRangers Ultra was born in 2018, when more than 40 runners ran across Kenya to support the rangers that dedicate their lives to rhino conservation.
The 2019 foot race will be bigger and better, as 70 runners take on the 230 km, passing through some of the incredible conservancies we support: Lewa, Borana, Ol Jogi and Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Along the route, runners will see not just rhinos, but also elephants, buffalo, zebra, impala and giraffe – and even hear lions roaring while they (*try to*) sleep in their tents!
For their own protection, our ultra-incredible-runners will be joined by armed rangers, looking over them along the whole route and providing the runners with opportunity to meet and learn about the people who risk their lives to protect the world’s most endangered animals.
The ultra begins on 18 September. Keep your eyes on our website and social pages to follow the runners on their For Rangers journey!
