Kiezebrink Focus on Food

The international wholesaler of animal food focuses on supplying healthy and responsible nutrition for animals. Their sustainable ethos has now led them to support rhino conservation efforts in South Africa.

We’ve joined forces with Kiezebrink Focus on Food...

Kiezebrink is focused on the development, production and supply of healthy and responsible animal nutrition. They supply their products to wholesalers, zoos and various distributors within and outside the EU.

Sustainability is a core value for the company. Kiezebrink use their own solar power as sustainable energy and heat recovery from their freezer compressors to generate free hot water for washing and cleaning. However, they wanted to do more and decided that rhino conservation in South Africa would be a worthy cause.

Director Michiel Derks said: “As a supplier of food for exotic animals we think it’s a responsibility to help them in the wild. We are thrilled to be partnering with Save the Rhino. Now we are assured that our support directly contributes to the conservation of these fantastic animals.”

…and, together, we’re delivering impact for rhinos in the wild

“We are delighted to be partnering with Kiezebrink. Our partnership will help provide vital equipment that’s needed at Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park and support rangers efforts to protect rhinos from the rising tide of poaching attacks. Kiezebrink’s donation will enable Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park to address urgent and often underfunded needs such as purchasing camping, monitoring and field equipment, ranger kit and vehicle tyres, ensuring rangers can work safety and effectively each day.” Darion Moore, Partnerships Communications Officer, Save the Rhino International.
