We hosted a live talk on Thursday 3^rd July to explore the role of dehorning rhinos as part of an anti-poaching strategy.

Hosted by our CEO, Dr Jo Shaw, this discussion took a deep dive into the findings of a recent study revealing that dehorning played a vital role in significantly reducing poaching across key reserves in South Africa.

We were joined by by Dr Tim Kuiper, the study’s lead author, Cathy Dreyer, Head Ranger at Kruger National Park, and Ian Nowak, General manager / Head Warden of Balule Nature Reserve, who each bring unique insights into the day-to-day realities of protecting rhinos from organised criminal networks.
