Save the Rhino is back at the Hackney Half Marathon! On Sunday 17 May 2026, our herd will return to the vibrant 13.1-mile route through the borough of Hackney, for a day of endurance and celebration. Join our team to take on one of the most atmospheric half marathons in London, and make a difference by raising funds for charity.

A truly unique half-marathon, the Hackney Half Marathon is famous for it’s energetic crowd and undulating route through the quirky heart of Hackney. Joined by 24,000 participants each year, we are proud to be amongst the charities present on Sunday 17 Mayand are currently looking for people to join our 2026 team!  

Whether it’s your first half marathon or your 50th, the Hackney Half is an event for everyone with unmatched views of some of London’s most vibrant communities.

On average, our runners typically raise around £350 each. This helps us to cover the costs of your place on the team, while also maximising the funds for rhino conservation. Sometimes this seems like a daunting figure to raise; however, there are endless ways of fundraising, from bake sales to corporate sponsorship and match funding, and we’re here to support you every step of the way!
