We’re launching an online global competition to find a festive rhino-themed illustration for our official 2025 Christmas jumper, and we want to showcase your designs! Whether you’re a young artist, a hobbyist or a professional, this is your chance to show off your creativity and help protect rhinos.
Who can enter?
This festive competition is open to all ages and to everyone around the world. We have four categories:
- Children (12 and under)*
- Youth (13 – 18)*
- Amateur designers: hobbyists, students, or anyone who enjoys designing in their spare time and does not make an income through their designs
- Professional designers: individuals who work in a creative or design-related role or earn income through their design work
*Anyone under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to participate in the competition.
You can enter up to five images and entries must be your own original work.
Employees of Save the Rhino International and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
What we’re looking for:
- A rhino-inspired, family-friendly festive design suitable for the front of a Christmas jumper
- Have fun, be bold, and anything goes!
- Please keep the design to imagery: do not add any slogans or wording
Winners will be selected by a panel appointed by Save the Rhino and will be based on skill, creativity, relevance to the Christmas theme. The decision of the judging panel is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
How to submit?
- Submissions must be sent through the registration form found on the Save the Rhino’s website, by midnight on Sunday 28 September 2025. After this period, submissions will not be judged or used by Save the Rhino for the competition. Submissions will not be accepted through any other communications
- Designs may be submitted as a JPG or PNG and must be a minimum 1MB and maximum 5MB file – 300dpi
- Entrants must also include a short explanation (max 200 words) about their design and inspiration

- Entry deadline: 23:59, Sunday 28 September 2025
- Shortlist announced: Monday 29 September 2025
Winners announced: Tuesday 7 October 2025
Prizes
- One winner per category will receive a Christmas jumper printed with their design (which will also be sold worldwide via Save the Rhino’s online shop)
- Ultimate bragging rights that your design will be sold worldwide to support rhino conservation
- Runners-up will receive honourable mentions, and your design featured on our website and social media
- Shortlisted designs will be showcased on our website and social media
Winners will be notified by email within 7 days of the competition closing. If the winners do not respond within 48 hours, Save the Rhino reserves the right to select a different entry.
Terms and Conditions
By entering this competition, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions as set out below:
- Submissions must be sent through Save the Rhino International’s website by 23:59 on Sunday 28 September 2025. After this period, submissions will not be judged or used by Save the Rhino for the competition. Submissions will not be accepted through any other communications
- There is no entry fee or purchase necessary to enter this competition
- By entering this competition, entrants are indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions
- All entries must be the original work of the entrant; you must not use copyrighted or AI-generated content and the artwork must not infringe the rights of any third party. Entrants must have gained permission of any people featured in the entries, and/or of parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured
- Entrants under the age of 18 will need their parent’s/guardian’s to fill out the sections asking for their parent’s name and email address and must confirm they have their parent’s/guardian’s permission to participate in the competition. All contact from Save the Rhino to any entrant under the age of 18 will be made through and with the parent/guardian
- By entering this competition, all entrants grant Save the Rhino International the right to publish and exhibit the supplied artwork (with necessary credits) on social media, promotional material, the online shop itself, and Save the Rhino’s website
- Winners will be chosen fairly by staff members of Save the Rhino International, once the entry period has ended
- If an entrant’s artwork is chosen, the entrant is not entitled to any income received by Save the Rhino for the sale of the jumper or other related promotional material or commercial items
- All data provided to Save the Rhino International, in relation to this competition, will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and entrants hereby consent to Save the Rhino International using said personal data for the purposes of this competition. - The prize is as stated and is not transferrable or refundable. There are no cash alternatives
- Save the Rhino International reserves the right to amend any aspect of the competition at its discretion, including but not limited to the judging process, key dates and prize details, if circumstances require. Any such changes will be communicated on our website
