Intanda’s story

Intanda, meaning ‘star’, was born in 2005 in South Africa and travelled to Zambia’s North Luangwa National Park to be part of an exciting operation to introduce black rhino back into the otherwise poached out park. She was very shy and nervous when she first arrived in North Luangwa soon found comfort in staying close to the park rangers, often settling near to them at night. Since then Intanda has settled down very happily and in 2013 became a proud mother to a male calf, Kamti.
