Lewa Wildlife Conservancy’s Ian Craig awarded OBE in The Queen’s Birthday Honours list

Congratulations to Ian Craig, one of the founders of Kenya’s Lewa Wildife Conservancy, who was awarded an OBE by HM Queen Elizabeth II in June 2016 for services to conservation and security to communities in Kenya.

Lewa is one of the most successful conservation initiatives in East Africa, and the team is internationally renowned for creating a model for successful conservation and community engagement.

Save the Rhino International is pleased to work with such a fantastic partner organisation and delighted that Ian has been recognised in the Birthday Honours list.

Our most recent donation towards Lewa was $25,848, thanks to a grant from the Anna Merz Rhino Trust. These funds are being used to help build new accommodation and ablution blocks for Lewa’s ranger team.
