Rhino Dog Squad appeal success

P1070572_article_detail

On behalf of the dogs and rangers in Ol Jogi, Ol Pejeta, Lewa and Borana Conservancies, we would like to thank all of our supporters who so generously donated to our ‘Rhino Dog Squad’ appeal. With the kind donations from individuals, zoos, safari parks, companies and organisations around the world, you've helped us raise over £47,500 for the incredible canine units protecting rhinos in Kenya since June 2015.

We’d like to give special thanks to the listeners of BBC Radio 4, who, after listening to Sam Taylor from Borana Conservancy give an appeal on behalf of the conservancies, donated a phenomenal £18,500 to support the Rhino Dog Squad campaign.

A big thank you also to staff and visitors from Woburn Safari Park, which was our top zoo fundraiser. Woburn raised an amazing £9,354.14 through a series of fundraising events including raffles, face-painting, lucky dips, rhino tours and more.

We’d also like to thank Twogether creative for its huge pro-bono input into making the campaign such a success, from branding the campaign and designing our leaflets and ezines, to infographic development and video editing.

The funds raised from the appeal will fund essential equipment, training and veterinary care. We will keep you posted with updates from the field on how your donations have helped these canine heroes!

Please help us reach our £50,000 target by donating online.
