As well as the long-term, ongoing field programmes that we support, we occasionally make one-off grants to an NGO for a particular - perhaps short-term - project.

'Research' projects:

  Using modern technology to protect Africa's rhinos: security and technology workshop

  Namibia

  A practical, technical meeting for rhino field programme managers from African rhino range states and India, to examine new technologies for use for rhino montoring and anti-poaching.

  Building leadership capacity in Indonesia

  This project will be part of a Master’s of Science and then PhD undertaken by Mr Sectionov, who currently works as the Indonesia Liaison for the IRF. Mr Sectionov has conducted research and field conservation work with Javan rhinos
