In January 2007, 10 women from around the world became the first team to summit 3 of Africa's highest peaks (Mt Kilimanjaro, Mt Kenya and Mt Meru) in 3 weeks. The film highlights the challenge of 3 Peaks and the impacts of the climbs on local African communities.
The MC for the night would have been Aidan Hartley, author of "The Zanzibar Chest", but unfortunately the troubles in Kenya kept him away. Aidan Hartley was a foreign correspondent for Reuters news agency, assigned to Africa and now regularly writes articles for The Spectator.
The film was followed by short talks from the three organisations that benefited from 3 Peaks 3 Weeks: the Laikipia Wildlife Forum, The School of St Jude and the Support for Internatioanl Chalnge
