Organised by UK-based charity Elephant Family, Elephant Parade London saw the instillation of over 250 model elephants across the city of London this summer. Each elephant was brightly painted by a different artist or celebrity and used to raise awareness for the plight of their endangered Asian counterparts and raise money for vital habitat conservation projects across Asia. In an act of cross-species admiration, Save the Rhino adopted one of these model elephants and commissioned artist, and long-term Save the Rhino supporter, Tom Hallifax to paint it.
The elephants have now been auctioned off and we're pleased to report that our elephant rasied a fantastic £11,000! Thank you to all that made this event such a success.
