The New York Marathon

Sunday 7 November 2010

News: NYRR have extended the entry deadline to September 8th

The New York marathon is one of the biggest marathons of the world along with the London Marathon....

Running through the streets of New York's five boroughs: Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Manhattan and over five different bridges truly is an amazing experience.  With the bands playing, the crowds cheering you on and the impressive New York skyline towering in front of you, you can't fail to be motivated to keep running.  It really is such a different way to see New York and a day you'll never forget.

Sales for the 2010 ING New York City Marathon are very strong again and we urge you to sign up early.

Places for the New York Marathon come as part of a package and there are three packages to choose from:

- Race Entry, Accommodation and Flights
- Race Entry and Flights
- Race Entry and Accommodation

You must pay the costs yourself and we just ask that you raise a minimum of £100 for Save the Rhino.  We will give you fundraising tips, training tips, tips for the day of the New York marathon, a Save the Rhino dry fit t-shirt to run in and be here to answer all your questions. We even give you the chance to run in one of our famous rhino costumes if you wish....

If you can raise enough sponsorship then we will even refund you the costs you have paid for your race entry package - please e-mail jo@savetherhino.org for further details on this.
